Southwood was established in 1973. Three individuals with successful careers in furniture making, decided to form a family company and specialize in what they knew best the recreation of beautiful upholstered chairs and sofas from the 18th and 19th century periods. There was a desire to not only recreate these treasures, but also to demonstrate that indeed excellence still existed in quality and craftsmanship.
